The Bauers

Well after a few crazy weeks I'm finally having some time to update my much neglected blog. What can I say I'm much happier behind the camera with people than behind a keyboard by myself.

Anyways, I've been part of some great shoots lately and wanted to share some of the moments with you. Chris, Candice and I went down do Fish Creek park on a brisk Sunday morning to capture a few frames for their upcoming Christmas Cards. What a fun couple and a great location. While Chris was pointing out the fish in the creek both Candice and I were having fun scouting locations for the next shot. Luckily all of us were successful with our searches and Candice was able to pull Chris away from the bridge for a few more quick poses. In the end everything worked out perfectly, Chris made it out to McLean Creek on time and Candice and I are happy with the results. Thanks you two for the fun morning, oh yea and the large Timmy's too.

Texture, what's your take?

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some helpful insight. It seems now a lot of people are adding textures into their photos such as these two shots. Do you have any thoughts on it. Are you a fan or do you prefer images unobstructed by details. I'd love to hear what you think.

Craig and Denise - Engaged!

Here are a few photos from Denise and Craig's engagement shoot. What a great couple. We had a lot of fun that afternoon, kudos to them for sporting the fall fashions even though it was +30 out there. Thanks you two.

Kent and Sylvie get Married!

Last Friday I had the pleasure to capture Sylvie and Kent Watt's wedding at beautiful Bowness Park here in Calgary. In was a perfect evening as the sun dipped below the yellow leaves of fall I was given some really nice lighting to work with. Thanks you three ( they have a cute little boy, Dexter) for letting me share the day with you.

The Anderson Family

Last Saturday I spent the day in and around Garrison Woods with the very entertaining Anderson Family. Their two beautiful children Miles and Avyn had a great day and were awesome subjects. We visited a lot of different locations and had lots of laughs through out the day thanks Guys I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Raman and Gurpreet's Wedding - Vancouver BC

What a great experience I had last Saturday when shooting my friends Raman and Gurpreet's wedding in Vancouver. Being my first Indian wedding I think there is a chance that I enjoyed the day more than the beautiful couple. I'm not sure if it was the bright colours, the many ceremonies or just the overall feel of sense of family that made the day so special. Either way it was awesome. I can't wait to go through all the pics from the day and relive the many special moments but for now here are a couple teasers to tide them over.

Royal Indian Engagement

I had the honor and privilege to shoot my friend Raman's engagement party this last weekend at the Royal India Restaurant in downtown Calgary. Wow, what an event.
